Minim wins 2019 IoT Breakthrough Award
IoT Breakthrough chooses Minim for the annual "Consumer Product of The Year" IoT innovation award
We are excited to announce that we have been selected as the winner of the 2019 IoT Breakthrough Award for Consumer Product of The Year. As part of the Tech Breakthrough Awards organization that "celebrates the most outstanding tech products, services and companies," the IoT Breakthrough Awards program was created to recognize the leading companies and products in IoT. In this year alone, the program saw more than 3,500 nominations for awards in IoT categories, such as: Enterprise, Consumer, Industrial, Connected Home, M2M, Smart City and more.
About our cloud-managed WiFi and IoT security solution
At Minim, it is our mission to make managing and securing the connected home simple through our residential managed WiFi solution. We've created a mobile app for consumers and a Care Portal for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to offer visibility into the home network— a need as the consumer IoT install base continues to rise to 12.86 billion units by 2020. Behind the scenes, our cloud-based and self-learning platform is using Quantum Fingerprinting and behavioral models to detect security threats before they can become problems.
"We are thrilled to be recognized as Consumer Product of the Year," said Nicole Hayward, Minim Founder and CMO:
"With an average of nine connected devices per broadband household in the United States, it's getting pretty dicey for consumers to manage their home network. That's why, behind our simple apps, we've developed a uniquely hardware-agnostic cloud platform that deeply profiles all IoT devices, monitors performance, and gives usable recommendations. It is nice to be recognized for our holistic approach; we hope it will encourage more service providers and router manufacturers to partner with us in democratizing home network security."
