Minim joins The VentureFizz Podcast: An interview with Jeremy Hitchcock and Gray Chynoweth [podcast recap]

Just recently, Minim CEO Gray Chynoweth and Minim Founder Jeremy Hitchcock were invited to sit down with Keith Cline on Episode 137 of The VentureFizz Podcast— the place to hear entrepreneurs in the tech industry share their stories.

Minim Joins The VentureFizz Podcast

VentureFizz is the leading authority for jobs in the Boston and NYC tech industry. The platform gives candidates a behind-the-scenes look at what companies in this space are all about, offering resources like an active job board, company directory, and entrepreneur stories as told on the podcast.

In Episode 137, Gray and Jeremy share their experiences of building out the tech ecosystem in Manchester, NH— a mere 45 minutes outside of Boston— through building Dyn and Minim.

...

Keith: Let's go to the origin story of Dyn... What was the formation of the idea?

Jeremy: Yeah, very simple and now almost, jeez, almost 20 years later. Just the whole notion about remote access technologies was so different. Collaboration tools— like we're using Zoom for this and we can see each other over video and have an audio conversation— all that stuff just didn't exist... And so this notion of dynamic DNS, which was a way of making a computer remotely addressable to the globe, that was a brand new idea...

Keith: And when you did scale and start to get a laundry list of customers, you guys had a major impact on the overall health of the internet. I remember there was that one day when there was some attack or something because half of the internet was down. And it was reported in the news how some company in Manchester, NH, Dyn, is somehow involved with this.

Jeremy: Yeah, that was October 21 of 2016, I believe, is the day you're referring to...

Gray: Every October, we feel nervous, right, for no reason... But yeah, it was exciting that part of our scaling and starting to engage, and build a process, systems, and organization that could support that many customers— how do you find the talent in New Hampshire, how do you build a culture, how do you build the physical environment— the space for people to collaborate and engage. And how do you put together the right people when you got to fly all the way out to California to meet board members... You got to figure out how you can build a global company in Manchester.
