Introducing the Minim Installer for MikroTik
In July, Minim became a Made for MikroTik software partner and launched support for MikroTik routers on the Minim platform. To further enable support for MikroTik routers, we're excited to introduce the new Minim Installer for MikroTik. With the Minim Installer, operators can easily configure any MikroTik hardware and make them Minim-enabled.
MikroTik on Minim configurations
The Minim Installer provides three different MikroTik router installation configurations to choose from:
- DHCP Client: A standard Minim configuration where the MikroTik router will get an IP address on the WAN side from a DHCP server in front of it.
- PPPoE: A custom Minim configuration where an existing PPPoE server exists in front of the MikroTik router to enable PPPoE communication.
- Static IP: A custom Minim configuration where the MikroTik router will have a static IP address on the WAN side.
An important note is that each configuration type can be carried out simply using the Minim Installer, which does not require the use of the Winbox interface. Additionally, operators can order several different MikroTik router models preconfigured with Minim, including:
Getting started with the Minim Installer for MikroTik
To get started, head over to the Minim Installer for MikroTik step-by-step guide. This guide will walk you through how to use the Minim Installer to enable Minim on your MikroTik router and explain where you can access the router on the Minim platform. From there, you'll be able to activate the router for a customer, with access to Minim's AI-driven fingerprinting, network optimization, and security features.
